La Sportiva Raises Prices on Prodigio Pros

La Sportiva’s runaway hit shoe, the Prodigio Pro, is finally back in stock here in the US, and the full size run is now available at REI – for now. But, fans of the shoe, or curious folks who didn’t get the chance to try the super shoe without plate the first time around will be disappointed to see that La Sportiva raised the price by $30 to $225.

This puts the shoe somewhat in line with Euro pricing, which is €220. And is maybe a first for La Sportiva as they tend to sell their shoes in the US at a lower price point than in Europe. But US customers often don’t get all the cool color options and some of their shoes don’t make it over here at all.

Anyways, I loved wearing my Prodigio Pros at Lavaredo last week. Now I wish I would’ve picked up another pair while shopping in Cortina.
