Yo Saturnalia!
Get ready for a fun and festive holiday 10K trail race at Squaxin Park in Olympia, WA on December 13.

Here are the results for the 2025 UTMB Mont-Blanc. The 100M Finals of the UTMB World Series. The 2025 edition brought severe weather back to the Alps which forced organizers to alter the course, even mid-race. Runners battled brutal conditions at times, putting the list of required gear to a test.

After two disappointing DNF’s in the last couple of years Tom Evans took the win, followed by Ben Dhiman in second, who comes off a win at the 2025 Lavaredo Ultra Trail. In third is Josh Wade who was 8th at Lavaredo. (Which makes me wonder: has anyone done a successful “Euro Double = winning Lavaredo and UTMB in the same year?)

In the women’s race Ruth Croft became the first woman to win all 3 UTMB World Series Finals. Late in the race Ruth overtook favorite Courtney Dauwalter, who battled hard to finish in 10th. Second in Chamonix was Camille Bruyas followed by Katharina Hartmuth in Third.

BELOW ARE THE OVERALL NUMBERS FOR THIS YEAR’S UTMB:

UTMB Starters: 2,492. DNF: 829 + Finishers: 1,664. Women 221 (13%), Men 1,443 (87%).

This race too saw a drop in starter numbers from 2,761 in 2024. Could this be all weather-related? That 10% of folks just decided that these conditions were too gnarly for them to even make it to the starting line?
