Joyline Chepngeno Tests Positive

Athlete Joyline Chepngeno, the first to cross the finish line in women in the 2025 edition, tested positive during the test conducted in Sierre-Zinal. She admitted injecting herself with a prohibited substance. The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) confirmed the violation of anti-doping rules and issued a 2-year suspension on September 8, 2025.

Joyline’s sponsor Salomon responds swiftly and terminates her sponsorship contract:
