This is the second edition of the Whistler Ultra Trail by UTMB. I ran the inaugural event last year amidst controversy but this year things have calmed down considerably. The event is one of four UTMB events of the weekend and also competes with WTMRC and the Mammoth 200 – busy weekend on the trails.

Below are the overall numbers for this year’s Whistler Ultra Trail:
Whistler Ultra Trail saw a total 1,005 starters and 911 finishers. Participation grew by about 15% over last year. 290 (32%) women and 621 (68%) men reached the finish line and earned themselves their respective stones and an UTMB index (or directly punched their ticket to the Finals in Chamonix for 2026).
Next up is another first year event with Chihuahua Mexico in Mexico on 2-4 October, 2025. For a full list of UTMB World Series events visit the ECC UTMB World Series events calendar.
