First time to the World Series Gauja Trail by UTMB In the Eastern European country of Latvia also happened during the same weekend as Beast of Big Creek. Here are the results from the weekend of racing.

Ivita SALE (Latvia) and Kamil POCZWARDOWSKI (Poland) claimed the win in the Gauja Trail 100K race.

  • Gauja Trail 100K Starters: 657. DNF: 85 + Finishers: 572. Women 73 (13%), Men 499 (87%).
  • Gauja Trail 50K Starters: 808. DNF: 22 + Finishers: 786. Women 253 (32%), Men 533 (68%).
  • Gauja Trail 20K Starters: 779. DNF: 2 + Finishers: 777. Women 333 (25%), Men 444 (75%).
  • Gauja Trail 10K Starters: 387. DNF: 2 + Finishers: 385. Women 211 (55%), Men 174 (45%).

Gauja Trail by UTMB saw a total 2,631 starters and 2,520 finishers. There also was youth race and a Nordic Walking competition I didn’t consider in these numbers. 870 (35%) women and 1,650 (65%) men reached the finish line and earned themselves their respective a combined 4,065 stones and an UTMB index.

This weekend is KAT100 in Austria on 06-08 August, 2026.
