Jack Wolfskin Exits U.S. Market

Jack Wolfskin is a huge outdoor clothing brand in Europe, like HUGE. When the announcement of the sale to a US company was announced back in 2019 I was somewhat hesitant – the parent brand after all was focused on golfing, but at the same it seemed exciting that the brand would finally find its way into the US. And efforts were made: I interviewed the Director of Brand Marketing back in 2021 on Singletrack about the strategy and direction.

Sadly this goes down as yet another German consumer brand struggling to crack the code on how to establish oneself in the huge market flooded with already established brand names here in the US.
