Joyline Chepngeno shares a statement on Instagram:

I take full responsibility for my mistake in not checking what substance was being injected into me, and I wish I had been better educated about substances and procedures. The rules apply equally to every athlete, and I accept the AlU’s decision and all the consequences that come with it.

I know too little of this whole professional sports world to pass judgment, I’m sharing her post here for the sake of completion.
