Kilian’s Next Project: “States of Elevation”

After teasing a new endurance project in the US for this fall on his Instagram account, and soliciting suggestions from the community, Kilian Jornet made the announcement today of what it would entail:

Time to announce a new project, starting in September: States of Elevation. I’ll be aiming to connect 14,000ft peaks across the United States by foot and bike.

Most of the “lower 48 Fourteeners” are in Colorado, with a few sprinkled in California and then there’s Mt. Rainier in Washington State. If he includes Rainier it’ll be a long long bike ride for him. And I will be 100% at Paradise to cheer him on.

He plans to start at Longs Peak in Colorado and end at Mount Rainier in Washington.

According to this, it sounds like I’ll be at Paradise some time late September, exciting!
