From their website:
The San Juan Softie is a 100 mile ultra run taking place in southwest Colorado through the beautiful San Juan mountains. At an average elevation of nearly 10,000ft and with over 20,000ft of vert, this is a proper mountain race.
Hardrock 100, Leadville 100, High Lonesome are all way oversold and impossible to get into. Adding another race into the mix makes perfect sense, especially if the permits don’t allow for the others to grow their capacity. If you want to experience the Colorado mountains – this is your chance.
For its inaugural year (they wanted to launch last year but had some permitting issues) the cost is $375. I’m using the word ‘they’ loosely as the website doesn’t mention who the race directors are. I’m not suggesting you shouldn’t trust the team – Tailwind Nutrition is a sponsor – but it’s a bit odd to me that one is invited to enter a race where it’s not clear who is the team that’s putting it on.
Race day is Aug 16, 2024 and you can sign up on UltraSignup.
