New National Park Pass Sleeves Already Sold Out

The “America the Beautiful’ annual National Park pass has been redesigned for 2026, and folks don’t like the design – of obvious reason. People have begun putting stickers on their passes. But now, the Department of Interior of the United States of America – that beautiful country full of freedom, liberty, and free speech and expression – suggests that passes would be invalidated if they sport a sticker. The childishness of this administration has no end. Anyway, enter Recollection Project, they begun selling a plastic sleeve for the passes, which allows you to hide the pass design behind a nice beautiful landscape photo without – god forbid “putting a sticker on the pass. Of course, these sleeves are completely oversold and sales had to be temporarily put on hold.

Reminds me of new major of NYC Mamdani’s comment on Trevor Noah’s podcast about TSA and “TSA PreCheck” – the pay to skip the line at the airport service: “We have monetized the dysfunction“.
