Suunto left Salomon’s Amer Sports

This is from almost a year ago, but I completely missed that news. Amer Sports (a Finnish company) sold Suunto (a Finnish company) to Liesheng (Chinese technology company). This couple explain why Suunto’s been so sluggish in updating their product line in recent years.

Amer Sports still own Salomon, Arc’teryx and Peak Performance, among other outdoor adjacent brands.
