Today UTMB announced the inclusion of the first event in Indonesia to the World Series. The ‘Trail of the Kings’ in Lake Toba will be held on 17-19 October. From their press announcement:
Trail of the Kings – Lake Toba by UTMB® will make its debut on the UTMB® World Series calendar this October 17-19, 2025, bringing the UTMB® experience to Indonesia and the local trail running community for the very first time. Held on the Samosir Island, a large volcanic island in Lake Toba, this brand-new event promises an unforgettable experience in one of Southeast Asia’s most culturally rich and geologically unique destinations.
Registration for the event will open on 14 July.
