The World Trail and Mountain Running Championship came to a close on Sunday. I have full results for all events on the Live page. One thing I have not been able to track down is that I believe there was an overall Teams medal that was awarded too. Aside from the individual medals for each event, there were teams medals for each event, but from what I am gathering is that was also a category for best overall National Team. I looked on every respective organization’s website and I could not find any mention of it. Am I making this up? Let me know where I can find information on this.
PS: Finding a single source of information about this event has been unnecessary complicated. This idea of ITRA, WMTA and IAU organizing the event collaboratively and allowing the official website to be so… subpar is not a great way to promote and grow what could arguable be one of the highlights for our sport.
It’s a shame. It needs to be fixed. It isn’t hard.
