David Callahan, Co-CEO of UltraSignup shares a personal note on LinkedIn on the past few years of his ownership of the most important registration platform for the American trail and ultra running world:

When we bought it, UltraSignup worked, mostly. But it was like buying a house where every time you opened a door, you discovered another room that needed gutting. The technical debt was immense. The code was brittle. There were many white-knuckle moments for us through those early months and years.

But here’s what really kept me up at night: the trail running community had no idea who we were.

Really fascinating backstory that deserves a lot more visibility than being hidden inside Microsoft excuse of a social media platform.
