Watch the recap video of the return of skyrunning to the USA and North America's only stop on the Skyrunner World Series.
Billy Arnold for the Jackson Hole News & Guide summarizing the trial stemming from Michelino Sunseri’s FKT attempt on the Grand Teton:
After a two-day trial, the question of whether mountain runner Michelino Sunseri is guilty of cutting a switchback in Grand Teton National Park is now in the hands of a federal judge.
The next step in the case:
The judge plans to issue a written ruling but said “it’s going to be time-consuming.” If Sunseri is found guilty, Hambrick plans to schedule a sentencing hearing. If he’s found not guilty, the pro athlete’s legal travails will conclude. Either side will, however, retain an opportunity to appeal Hambrick’s ruling.
How much more tax payer money will be wasted at this grandstanding over something so insignificant?
