KAT100 by UTMB in Austria is still one of the smaller UTMB events in the Alps, and it last year it was the last event in the World Series before the Finals. Read more on that below.
In the 100M race 5 of the podium spots were taken by Germans. Very strong showing for Germany in several of the races at Kat100.

If you want to see how much the UTMB World Series has grown compare how I wrote last year for KAT100 by UTMB in Austria that it’s the last event before the UTMB Finals in Chamonix. This year there are two more between KAT100 and the end of the month. Both coincidently in Canada: Boréalys Mont-Tremblant in Quebec on 14-16 August and Whistler in BC got moved from its September date to 21-23 August. This move I am told isn’t a permanent one, and just for this year to due to another event overlap. I will keep close tabs on this development, cause I personally enjoyed the September date and don’t like the late August date for travel – but that’s just me personally.
