Whenever Kilian is injured, or has a lot of downtime, which mainly happens when he’s injured, he blogs a lot – and our sport is better for it. In his latest post he makes the case on why the “start slower, finish faster” mantra might not actually be the right approach for long, hard, mountain ultras. Yes, his data set might be small, but his on-the-trail experience makes up for it. Just another fantastic read. And I fully agree with him. I am never faster on the second half of a race, ha.
