La Sportiva’s Lavaredo Ultra Trail

The race in the shadow of Western States, on the busiest weekend on the trail racing calendar (Mont Blanc Marathon is happening the same weekend as well) the Lavaredo Ultra Trail is one I have been writing about for awhile now, and finally get to race it myself for the first time this year – and yes, I am freaking stoked. And I am not alone, Francesco Puppi is racing the 50K and I will be toeing the line with Courtney Dauwalter and Maria Dalzot in the 120K. I will write more about this event as we get closer to it, but the one thing I want to share ahead of time is how unique the race as part of the UTMB World Series. For the rest of the series Hoka is all over to events but for this one La Sportiva is not just the sponsor – their home base is just around the corner from Cortina d’Ampezzo – but also key promoter. Media, live radio, activations, the full agenda for the event lives on the La Sportiva website (and no mention of UTMB on the La Sportiva webpage).
