Seattle Marathon Unveils New Route

The Seattle Marathon is big, well-known, but a far cry from being a World Major. I am not saying this to diss on the race, but to acknowledge how hard it must be to try to close down a major metropolitan area for a several hours long foot race. It’s a huge logistical and financial lift for the organization putting on the event. Over the years the course route has changed several times and for 2025 they just announced the new route. While it’s not a grand tour of the city it does look like a really fun loop. The new route utilizes several city parks and urban trails, which seems smart for cheaper and easier traffic control – but create a really fun loop around a beautiful part of the city.
