Topo Athletics Acquired

Designer Brands Inc., one of the world’s largest designers, producers and retailers of footwear and accessories, today announced the acquisition of Topo Athletic (“Topo”).

Designer Brands owns the DSW retail stores and makes shoes for a bunch of brands like Lucky Brand and Jessica Simpson footwear.

I personally have never worn Topos or even considered wearing them, but a couple of my friends love them. It’ll be interesting to see if the brand will survive this transition.
