Arc of Attrition 2025 Results

Arc of Attrition by UTMB was held for the first time as a UTMB event a couple of weeks ago on January 24-26. I have been tardy (and massively busy), missed several UTMB race results, but this week during our Trail Talk Media Pass session I was reminded that these posts are really useful. So, my aim is to keep again, and post them for the year. Find all UTMB coverage on my dedicated UTMB page here.

The numbers by distance and gender:

  • Arc 100 Starters: 515. DNF: 264 + Finishers: 252. Women 23 (9%), Men 229 (91%).
  • Arc 50 Starters: 476. DNF: 128 + Finishers: 348. Women 58 (17%), Men 290 (83%).
  • Arc 25 Starters: 608. DNF: 25 + Finishers: 584. Women 160 (27%), Men 424 (73%).

Arc of Attrition by UTMB saw a total 1,599 starters and 1,184 finishers. 241 (20%) women and 943 (80%) men reached the finish line and earned themselves their respective stones and UTMB index (or directly punched their ticket to the Finals in Chamonix for 2025).

Next up is Tarawera Ultra-Trail (yeah, this one already happened and results post is forthcoming) in New Zealand on February 15-16, 2025.
