I don’t know why and don’t understand how shoes can be so hot right now. In a world where companies are pouring billions of dollars into tech gadgets enhanced with tiny super computers connected to satellites orbiting our planet, shoe companies are having a moment. New products, new brands, yet still by and large just the same ol’ shoes we’ve known and worn for how many generations?
For folks playing along: Chip Wilson owns Lululemon, and Amer Sports owns Salomon and Arc’teryx. Yesterday I posted that Decker Brands is about to announce a new brand of shoes. Normal seems to be doing alright. On Running is killing it. Shoes, just shoes… I mean, wow.
