The first runners of PTL, the 300km team race, are slowly arriving back in Chamonix. The final runners won’t be getting back for many many more hours.
For 2026 here are the results, and for the third year in a row the winners are:
AlpsXperience – Jules-Henri GABIOUD and Candide GABIOUD two brothers from Switzerland.

*What’s crazy about AlpsXperience is that from my research it seems to be their 5th win:
Four times, we had the good fortune to cross that line as winners.
I have recorded wins for them for 2025, 2024, 2022 on the UTMB website. (They won in 2021 too). Older records aren’t available right now, but either way, what an incredible achievement and testimony that when it comes to this sort of athletic movement through the mountains, no one can best the Swiss. (Reminds me of Red Bull X-Alps, the hike and fly event, which happens every other year and Chrigel Maurer always wins.)
ECC will be covering UTMB week extensively nonstop. Stay tuned for continued updates on all the other races and the happenings in between.
